Brand history
- 1924
The company's history dates back to 1924, when the young entrepreneur and engineer A. F. Siebert fulfilled an order from Henry Ford: a light portable drill, the Hole-Shooter. It was a real revolution: the drill was powerful enough for industrial use, including the car industry, and could be operated with one hand.
- 1935
In 1935 the company presented a new development: a ¾-inch electric hammer drill. The versatile tool could be used both for drilling and for driving anchors into concrete.
- 1940s
In response to the growing demand of the armed forces during the Second World War, Milwaukee Electric Tools Corporation began building tools that were more powerful than ever. The brand's engineers were also the first to fit industrial tools (grinders and circular saws) with spring clutches, which greatly reduced kickback.
- 2005
The brand became part of Techtronic Industries.
